Treasure hunter Lance McAfee was part of the expedition that recovered the wreckage of the S.S. Central America, a paddle steamer that sank in 1857 carrying more than three tons of gold.
McAfee’s incredible story plays out like a Clive Cussler novel as the treasure hunter and expedition team spent 12 years recovering the ship and its contents.
The lecture is free for members and included in the cost of museum admission for non-members.
Museum galleries will remain open until the start of the lecture.
