Thank you to everyone who came out for this year’s event. We had a blast and we’ll be doing it again next year. Keep checking back for updates on Night at the Museum VI coming in 2014!
For now, here’s information from the 2013 event:
The fifth year of this staple event featured unique guests from the worlds of science and science fiction that will delight fans both young and old. All children received a special autograph book to capture the signatures of everyone from Amelia Earhart to Darth Vader.
More than 40 characters will be wandering the galleries of Tellus educating visitors on how science and science fiction often intersect and influence each other. From Star Wars to Star Trek, from physics to aviation, all the bases are covered at Night at the Museum. Kids and kids‑at‑heart were encouraged to talk to the characters, take photos and, of course, collect autographs.
Characters included Marty McFly of Back to the Future, Amelia Earhart, Katniss of The Hunger Games, Isaac Newton, and even Han Solo. Others include Sally Ride, Madame Curie, Sherlock Holmes, Darth Vader, Doctor Who and several companions, the TARDIS and R2-D2.
Also returning this year were the infamous Tellus Scientists. They were back with more zany and unique experiments in the Theater.
Children 12 and under are encouraged to dress up as their favorite science or science fiction character and be part of a special parade.
