Katie Owens, The Nature Conservancy’s Upper Coosa River Program Director, will be discussing the incredible biodiversity in the headwaters of the Upper Coosa Watershed, home to 100 fish species, 43 mussel species, and 32 species of snails. Hear how The Nature Conservancy has been actively involved in research, restoration, and land protection projects in the watershed for more than a decade. Daphne the Etowah Darter, a federally endangered fish of the Upper Coosa, will also be making a special appearance at the talk!
