Sink your teeth into the fascinating world of paleontology and uncover the prehistoric giants that once roamed the Southeastern United States.

In anticipation of a new specimen coming to the collection later this year, learn about one of the most fearsome reptiles of the Cretaceous period – Deinosuchus. This massive alligator-like predator dominated the ancient coastal waterways of the region.

Plus, get the inside scoop on a few incredible southern species, including the Appalachiosaurus, a T.rex relative that you can see on display now in our Fossil Gallery.

STAY + EXPLORE!

After the talk, stick around and create your own mini alligator friend to take home.

The Lunch + Learn lecture begins at 12:15 PM. No outside food is allowed but you are welcome to buy lunch in the Café and bring it into the lecture, or just come hear the lecture. All Lunch + Learns are FREE for members and included in regular admission for non-members. Presentations are recommended for ages 8 and up, unless otherwise indicated.

From fossils to stars, Lunch and Learn features a wide variety of topics.
