Have you ever wondered what’s actually happening inside a flickering flame? It turns out a simple candle has a lot of secrets to share!
Discover the physics of scent, the biology of the canine nose, and how the environment affects dogs in a Search and Rescue (SAR) scenario. See a live demonstration of tracking in action and interact with nationally certified SAR K9s and their handlers. It’s a ‘paws-on’ science experience the whole family will love!

The Lunch + Learn lecture begins at 12:15 PM. No outside food is allowed but you are welcome to buy lunch in the Café and bring it into the lecture, or just come hear the lecture. All Lunch + Learns are FREE for members and included in regular admission for non-members. Presentations are recommended for ages 8 and up, unless otherwise indicated.
