National Astronomy Day: Star Party
Saturday, May 3, 2025
5:30 - 10 PM
The Stars Are Calling....

Come celebrate National Astronomy Day at our Star Party filled with hands-on activities, special guests, and a stellar movie screening. Join us from 5:30 – 10 PM to view the night sky in our Observatory, make a nebula in a bottle, create your own lightsaber character card, and construct a constellation cube to bring the night sky to life!

plus....
If that wasn’t enough excitement, iconic galactic characters will be making appearances throughout the night for photo ops and fun!
Whether you’re an intergalactic bounty hunter or a fan of the stars, THIS IS THE WAY to get closer to those galaxies FAR, FAR AWAY.
The celebration kicks-off at 5:30 PM with solar viewing in our Observatory and activities in the Museum for astronomers of all ages. Make a mission medallion, design a spacecraft, grab some fun NASA giveaways, and more.
Once it’s dark, head outside to view objects in the evening sky such as the Moon, Gamma Leo, and the Hercules Globular Cluster. Then, join us at 9:30, 10, and 10:15 PM for star walks on the Museum grounds that will feature a live tour of the night sky.
