HOMESCHOOL FIELD TRIPS
Are you looking for ways to supplement your science studies with hands-on programs that will ensure that your students retain the information even longer? At Tellus Science Museum, we have created specialized programs designed for a multi-aged environment that will meet your Georgia homeschooling requirements.
REGISTRATION FOR THE 2023 – 24 SCHOOL YEAR ONLY.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Each program has three rotations:
- Lab
- Activity
- Explore One Gallery
- Program length is 90 minutes; 30-minutes per rotation.
- Programs run 1:30 PM - 3 PM.
- Minimum of 10 students required.
- Due to space limitations, prior arrangement with our scheduling department must be made before increasing your student numbers.
- Programs are based on Georgia Standards of Excellence that augment your homeschool instruction. It is not a tour of the entire museum.
- After the program, if you have time, you are welcome to visit other areas of the museum that you did not experience during your program.
PRICES
- Student – $12 (10 student minimum)
- Museum membership does not cover field trip costs for students.
- Adults and siblings do not count toward the 10 student minimum.
- Parents and chaperones – $19 or Museum membership.
- Add-on planetarium show – $2.50 per person.
- Planetarium tickets can be purchased at the Front Desk upon your arrival.
- Exploring the Solar System program includes the planetarium.
- Payment required at the time of registration for all program participants. We accept all major credit cards.

ADMISSION
- Program costs include museum admission for students and adults; all are welcome to tour the museum following programs. (Planetarium shows are an additional fee except with Exploring the Solar System. Planetarium tickets can be purchased at the museum.)
- A reservation is required one week prior to the program event date.
- Payment is required at the time of registration for all program participants. We accept all major credit cards.

SELF-TOURING
- Self-Touring, without a guide and without booking a program, is available for groups; however, the preceding rates and information will not apply to those groups.
