BECOME A MEMBER TODAY!
Contribute to our annual fund and operations
General donations are especially important because they provide direct support to the Museum’s operations including permanent exhibits, educational programming, and collections. Your gift can make a difference at Tellus. Now, more than ever, we are counting on you to help us maintain these high quality experiences. Your gift, big or small, will allow Tellus to:
• Encourage over 200,000 minds a year to become lifelong learners
• Inspire over 45,000 young minds to become excited about science through our award-winning school programs
• Care for over 18,500 collection pieces from the huge Apatosaurus in the Great Hall to tiny meteorite fragments
• Bring special exhibitions to Tellus to showcase a wide range of sciences to inspire visitors
• Host a variety of events for families and life-long learners
Give in honor or in memory of a loved one
Any donation, small or large, to Tellus Science Museum can be designated in honor or in memory of a friend, family member, or loved one. These special gifts are an incredibly meaningful way to honor the life of someone close to you.
Contact the Museum directly to dedicate a gift or give online today and note in the Comments with how you would like your donation to be acknowledged.
Give a gift of stock
A gift of long-term, appreciated securities (stock, bonds, or mutual fund shares) allows you to claim the full fair market value of the stock as a tax deduction. Often, you can also avoid paying capital gains tax. You may also choose to sell stock that has lost value and donate the proceeds from the sale. You can then deduct the capital loss, as well as the amount of the sale of the stock. For more information, please contact Adam Wade, Director of Development, at 770-606-5713, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Leave a legacy
Since opening in 2009, Tellus Science Museum has brought world-class science education to families throughout the Southeast. Without any state or local funding, the Museum relies solely on our membership and the generosity of individuals, foundations, and corporations for support. By remembering Tellus in your estate or financial plans, you will make a lasting difference on the Museum. It also helps further your financial goals and helps future generations better understand the role of science in our world. To make an impact on future generations of Tellus visitors through planned giving, contact Adam Wade, Director of Development, at 770-606-5713, or email@example.com.
As a program of Georgia Museums, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all donations to Tellus Science Museum are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
