Big machines return to Tellus for one of the Southeast’s favorite fall events! See helicopters land, hear the roar of engines and the sirens of fire trucks, and much more. And with few exceptions, kids of all ages can climb into or on these machines.
There’s something for everyone at this fun extension of the Millar Science in Motion gallery – big machines, educational kid’s activities, bounce houses, photo ops, a sale in the Store, and a special cookout-style menu in our outdoor Café.

“The Ray” is a nonprofit organization engaged in robust exploration of innovative technologies that will make driving safer, smarter, and more sustainable. These technologies are a pilot project on an 18-mile stretch of I-85 between LaGrange, Georgia and the Alabama border. Join Anna Cullen, Director of External Relations, and Stewart Massey, Community Ambassador Intern, as they share how “The Ray” paves our path forward.
You’ll have a chance to meet and greet staff from “The Ray” from 1 – 2 PM and 3 – 4 PM in the Theater Alcove.
