PART-TIME EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM STAFF

SUMMARY: Learn and facilitate educational programming on behalf of the museum for various audiences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by museum administration.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science education, earth sciences, museum education, or a related field preferred.
  • Two years of experience in formal or informal education preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and distance learning platforms.
  • Physical capabilities, including but not limited to the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand on hard surfaces for up to four hours, and possess visual and auditory acuity.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
  • Professional certifications preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Museum and office environment, with non-standard hours generally between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Extended hours and weekends are required on a regular and/or rotating basis. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but can be high.
