What exactly is a service dog? For thousands of years, canines have been man’s best friend. They have helped us hunt, survive, and have kept us company. Tellus educator, former US Air Force captain, former safety engineer, and filmmaker Bernie Smith, will help us explore the unique skills canines have that allows them to aid humans in new ways. She will shed light on what qualifications are needed for our canine friends to be classified as a service animal, and explain in what other ways they are working dogs.

STAY + EXPLORE!

Tellus Educators will host special activities for students after each Lunch + Learn.

The Lunch + Learn lecture begins at 12:15 PM. No outside food is allowed but you are welcome to buy lunch in the Café and bring it into the lecture, or just come hear the lecture. All Lunch + Learns are FREE for members and included in regular admission for non-members. Presentations are recommended for ages 8 and up, unless otherwise indicated.

From fossils to stars, Lunch and Learn features a wide variety of topics.
