Partial Lunar Eclipse at Tellus Science Museum

Thursday, August 27, 2026

10 PM - 2 AM

MUSEUM OPEN 10 AM - 5 PM

IT'S A GOOD NIGHT TO STAY UP PAST YOUR BEDTIME!

Join us on the night of August 27 for a partial lunar eclipse where Earth’s shadow will cover 96% of the Moon’s surface.

We’re bringing together WSB-TV Chief Meteorologist Emeritus Glenn Burns and NASA Ambassador Chris Thompson to guide you through every phase of the eclipse, break down the science, and answer all your space questions live.

  • View the eclipse in our Observatory.
  • Explore museum galleries.
  • See live eclipse demonstrations in the Planetarium.
  • Visit our interactive Blue Crew stations to learn more about the Moon’s distance from Earth and the optical illusion of moonlight.
