Helicopters, hovercraft, race cars, and other vehicles invade the grounds at Tellus for the fourth annual celebration.

Heavy Metal in Motion brings to life the museum’s Science in Motion transportation gallery. Professionals and enthusiasts alike will bring their vehicles, tell you all about them, and in most cases even let you climb inside. What a photo opportunity!

Fun hands-on activities will be spread throughout the museum. A miniature train will give all future engineers rides on the museum grounds, while kids will get to romp in a truck-themed bounce house. Other activities will lead your young scientist in a hands-on exploration of solar powered cars and hovercrafts. Based on our experience, last minute vehicles will show up, so expect the unexpected. There is even the possibility of a mid-day flyover!

All activities during Heavy Metal in Motion are free to members and included with regular admission to non-members. This is a one-of-a-kind event you do not want to miss!
